“The King’s Daughter” by Josh Gilman is a book that every father will want to read to his daughter. In this story a king goes for a walk with his daughter and along the way she gets dirty through her own and other people’s actions. She feels ashamed and unworthy until her father explains to her that no matter what she does and no matter what anyone does to her, she is stll his daughter and nothing can change that. The message in this brief picture book with its whimsical illustrations by Jeff Frizzell is a necessary one, as every girl needs to know the unconditional love of their father, as well as the Father “from whom every family…is named.” (Eph. 3:15)
