Scuffy the Tugboat has a lot to be grateful for, but instead, he complains that he was “meant for bigger things.” When his owner tries to give him “bigger things”, he still isn’t satisfied, but escapes and learns through his adventures to be grateful for that at which he previously turned up his nose.
I don’t know if anyone would publish such a book in 2022 (it was first publish ed in 1946) where the modern message is that anyone can do anything, but the fact is that a toy boat is not a sea-worthy ocian liner, and it’s harmful for the toy boat to think otherwise.
A lesson in being satisfied to be what you were made to be.
