Mine for Keeps

“Mine for Keeps” is the first of more than fifty (!) children’s books that Jean Little (My favourite Canadian children’s author) wrote. The story is about a girl with cerebral palsy who has been at a boarding school for children with special needs, but is now finally going to live at home and go to a regular school. She has fears and challenges, but ultimately with a supportive family, some new friends, and her own determination, she overomes to the point where she is able to help someone else trapped in fear.

Jean Little had an amazing ability to understand children and portray their thoughts, feelings, fears, challenges and overcoming so very realistically. “Mine for Keeps” is an excellent read!
