Cue for Treason

Cue for Treason by Geoffrey Trease

This is yet another much loved book in our family. It takes place in Shakespearean England, where a teenage boy is fleeing from the anger of a local Lord, ends up in London, and joins a theatre company. He, along with a girl around his age, end up needing to save the Queen from an evil plot on her life. This book is just plain enjoyable (and one can painlessly learn a bit about England, and theater in England in the end of the sixteenth century.)
